MST provides ONLY
state-of-the-art 80 watt Holmium:YAG surgical laser
systems, assuring you of the most expeditious procedures. Our 80 watt
machines provide both the power and speed needed to perform any
current procedure.
All of our Ho:YAG systems are capable of
delivering both waveforms of the Ho:YAG wavelength –
traditional single pulse and DoublePulse™. DoublePulse
allows you to deliver more energy to hard substances with less risk
of damaging surrounding soft tissues.
The Holmium:YAG laser works by generating
both heat and an acoustic shock bubble. Acoustic shock is one
mechanism responsible for stone migration when utilizing a laser as a
lithotrite. Our DoublePulse technology allows greater
calculi fragmentation, while reducing the potential risk of soft tissue
injury encountered with single pulse mode. The net result is rapid
stone ablation with less risk of soft tissue damage and reduced calculi
migration.
All MST certified laser operators are sent to the
manufacturer’s facility for extensive factory training,
ensuring you of the safest, most trouble-free laser case possible. All
MST Certified Laser Operators are also MLSO (Medical Laser Safety
Officer) certified.
All MST laser
systems are registered with the Bureau
of Radiation Control (BRC), within the Texas Department of Health,
as required by state law. BRC registration number -
Z01197.
Trimedyne and MST carry extensive product
liability insurance and professional liability insurance on its
certified laser operators, respectively. Insurance certificates are
available upon request.
MST provides a minimum of twelve (12) wavelength
specific laser safety eyewear and two (2) sterile probes
for each procedure scheduled.
Our minimum standards and our
policies and procedures exceed those established currently by JCAHO
(ANSI Z136.3:1996).
Pricing includes delivery, setup, ANSI
laser safety signs, ANSI laser safety eye wear, a certified laser
operator, any necessary smoke evacuation systems, and any and all
arthroscopy, urology, plastic surgery, dermatalogic, ENT, Ob/GYN,
general surgery, and/or gastroenterology delivery systems. Spinal
probes vary depending on the facility's equipment and surgeon's
preference and are furnished based on surgeon’s
preference. Pricing varies with spinal probe requested.
